Flexitanks - Bulkcontainers

Flexitanks are special equipment transforming standard 20’ Dry Van containers into bulk containers for transportation of non-hazardous cargoes. Our flexitanks have 4 PE triple welded inner liners and a woven PP outer liner with a capacity from 10 up to 25 thousand liters. If required 1 layer of barrier film (PA, EVOH or ALU) will be added. Our flexitanks are certified for the transport of koshere products.

 

 

In order to improve the application and handling of each flexitank, the fitting programme has been reworked and adjusted. This development produced a new reinforcing plat for bottom discharges which is twice as strong and only half as heavy as its forerunner. By using this reinforcing plate different bulkhead solutions are possible. The filling process is more comfortable with this plate and in addition the valve cannot disappear behind the bulkhead
The design of the 3” butterfly valve has also been completely reworked. Experiences and suggestions of Flexitank Europe’s customers were the most important motivation and the company attempted to realise every suggestion. The result tells its own tale, the company claims a safe locking mechanism with extremely good handling. In connection with the so-called “big-foot”, the Camlock cap and the 4” gland, we arrived at a bottom filling/discharge with perfectly fitting harmonised components.
Also our top loading/discharge system is an original product. The parts are solely developed for the application on flexitanks.

 

Traditional wooden bulkheads are replaced by PP bulkheads stitched to the flexitanks. Steel bars secure the bulkhead at door side of the container. If required other bulkheads are available.
